Pilates is a form of exercise, developed by the late Joseph Pilates, which emphasizes the balanced development
of the body through core strength, flexibility, and breath awareness. The central element of Pilates is the fusion
of mind and body.
Pilates’ exercises are done on either a mat on the floor or on specially designed equipment.
Doing Pilates will help you develop optimal strength, flexibility, endurance and improved posture, without bulk or strain on your joints. Pilates is an excellent complement to any regular cardiovascular exercise program, athletic training or rehabilitation.
